Purpose: This webinar will review the assessment and treatment of pain in children with advanced illness.
Objectives:
- Identify barriers to pain management in children
- Recognize the signs and symptoms associated with pain in the pediatric hospice patient
- Identify pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic management strategies for pain in the pediatric hospice population
Target Audience: Primary care providers, nurse practitioners, palliative care specialists, pain specialists, registered nurses, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses with a specialty in palliative care/hospice, social workers, allied health professionals, fellows, residents, and medical students
Criteria for Successful Completion:
- Attendance at the entire session (Dial-in/audio-only phone connections are not accepted)
- Submission of completed evaluation form

Physicians: The AAFP has reviewed MJHS 2026-2027 Interprofessional Webinar Series, and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit. Term of approval is from 09/10/2026 to 08/31/2027. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
This session Pediatric Pain Management 2027 is approved for 1.0 online AAFP Elective credits.
